Then reality hits: subcontractors still call to check availability, trucks still queue at the gate, the whiteboard still exists. The software is live but logistics is still a mess.

For those countries that have a Chain of Responsibility legislation (CoR), then non-compliance can prevent a general contractors ability to bid on or secure work, and where CLOCS-A is a requirement, an incident identifying poor practices can result in fines for individuals, businesses, and an even jail time to business leaders.
Route compliance with geofencing allows your team to enforce approved routes. When a vehicle deviates, you know before it becomes a problem at the gate. This is particularly valuable on sites with CoR (Chain of Responsibility) obligations or formal traffic management plans.
9. No Accountability Layer for Bookings
"The truck arrived unscheduled." "We had a double booking." "I didn't get the notification." These arguments are a symptom of a system without a clear accountability layer.
Effective logistics scheduling software creates an audit trail: who made the booking, when it was approved, what instructions were sent, whether the driver confirmed receipt. This isn't about blame. It's about having a single source of truth that every stakeholder — site manager, superintendent, subcontractor, gate team — can refer to.
